Hello everyone, my name is Brian and I'd love you to come to the wonderful city of Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom. I'm 40 years old and have lived in Edinburgh for nearly twenty years with a short gap in London and would love to advise you on this gorgeous city and make sure you have a far more local experience.
I've worked in the tourism industry within Edinburgh for most of those twenty years and as well as working with people from all over the world. My huge thing is really HISTORY, and Edinburgh has a huge amount of it. I am also into art/museums as well as local bars and eateries. I'll therefore be able to advise on these areas as well as getting around Edinburgh, for example.
I know Edinburgh as a local should and can pass this advice on to you, so you can experience and feel Edinburgh as a local and avoid some of the tourist traps.
Edinburgh absolutely oozes out history from its timeline, including its Castle Georgian New Town an nearby Port, Leith.
It's many colourful bars, many of which are hidden gems not known to many tourists.
Artistic links. Not just it's galleries but the city's wall murals on display.
Edinburgh is a festival city, especially in summer. But some of the best can be the lesser known ones outside the summer months.
The option of feeling completely away from any city but still being in the city centre at the same time.
Inexpensive day trips to the countryside and seaside from Edinburgh.
Great food experiences without spending the earth.
Edinburgh is an international and welcoming city.
Great transport links.
