I was born in Texas, but moved to Seattle to go to the University of Washington in 2004. I fell in love with the city and have lived here ever since, calling 6 different neighborhoods home. I commute to downtown by bicycle where I work in sustainability for a logistics company.
I enjoy going out to dinner with friends, live music, camping and hiking, discovering new bars, and biking.
No matter the season or time of day, there is always something fun and exciting happening in Seattle. From farmer's markets to free concerts in parks to free days at the museums, you'll never be at a loss for things to do.
Having lived in Seattle since , I've lived in different neighborhoods and have seen it change over the years, but some things have remained the same. I love the fresh food, great coffee, and amazing beer scene.
The city is also amazingly small when you see it by ferry, foot or bicycle. Many of my recommendations will include either walking, bike, or public transportation, as traffic can be a bit daunting.
The food here is also so delicious, so bring a good appetite for farm-fresh food!
