I grew up in New York. After living in Asia and New Orleans, I moved back for graduate school. In my free time, I tally the places that remind me of old New York. I dislike novelty attractions and experiences. I like spaces that have community or an amazing view.
If you're interested in checking out laid back bars and restaurants, and don't mind a little bit of grit and ruggedness, I'm your guy.
My favorite thing about New York is the diversity. There are countless cubbyholes of culture that I'm still discovering. You can see this the most clearly in cuisine. I love the food in New York, of all prices.
Other favs in New York City:
- The ferry - Afro-beat scene - American folks music -Jazz clubs - Biking - Cinema - Art museums - Outdoor basketball
I lived in Myanmar and try to go back as much as possible. The best thing about the country are the people and the lifestyle. My Favorite Things:
- Gallery openings - Expat nightlife events - Pansodan socials - Trips to Hpa An - Nan Gyi Thoke - New Swim spots
