I've been living in Phoenix off and on since the beginning of 2006. Before that I was stationed at the Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma. Every place has its ups and downs but Phoenix tends to draw people here in mass quantities. Although the summers are scorching most of the year here is absolutely gorgeous. Though I'm not a realtor if you are considering buying a home I can tell you a little bit about most of the valley. Through work I have canvassed all of the valley at one point or the other. When I moved to LA for a few years my friends from Phoenix would still call me asking for the name of a place or location of a place or just flat out for directions.
As for my hobbies I enjoy fitness, working on custom cars, metal art, firearms, the outdoors, and I'm wanting to get into road cycling. There are a lot of Mountain bike trails too btw. Although my hobbies are maybe a bit more rugged I really do enjoy museums, and history. I also like going to small venues. If you need a good start on where to go I'm definitely here to help. And if you need me to take you there we will be laughing the whole way. I'm definitely not good at being monotone. .
Though I feel Phoenix is still considered up and coming I've noticed the past few years it really exploding. When it's not crazy hot the hiking and exploring is fantastic out here. It also has a pretty large cycling community.
As for LA if you want to know what beaches to go to or places to eat I have definitely been to a lot.
