My favorite things about my cities

New York City continues to be the cultural for the vegan lifestyle. Brooklyn has a hotbed of vegan restaurants, along with many options in Manhattan including vegan soul food. Impossible Foods debuted its 'bleeding' burger at the Chelsea restaurant, Momofuku Nishi! Then there's pop-up shops and other one-off events occurring throughout the metropolitan area which includes Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. Anything to do with the vegan lifestyle and culture (including faith-based events with Adventist, Baha'i, Buddhist, Hindu, Jain etc.) are always of interest. This is just a start. There are free activities if you're on a low budget. For example, watching movies in a park, kayaking or stargazing with the Amateur Astronomers Association are some options. Also, check out the New York Veganites Facebook page and group where you may find more information about local happenings.
